COPS ARE SAME EVERYWHERE
Pretty sad news to start a blog. But anyways,
Living in a safe neighborhood for the past 2 years in dallas, not even in my wildest imagination i would have thought my car would be stolen right under the nose of our office security.
That fateful night, I parked my car in our office parking lot in the view of our security went out with friends. The next day afternoon, it was more of unbelief than shock to see my car missing.
It is not a new car, a old 96 honda accord with 77K miles. Fine, but I got that car just a month back. So it was very upsetting. The shock slowly started to get in. Anyway i have to see what next.
I went to our security and she says the car was taken just 30 minutes before my arrival.I called 911 immediatly and they responded 2 hrs later. The officer was polite, took the details, and made a national alert and offered me good luck. I didnt have any hope of getting the car back. Just the thought of going by bus daily to all places itself made me tired and sick to the core. Still life has to go on.
Surprise!!!!! After 4 days i heard the sweet news that my car was found. Man, is that called releif? Wow!! wonderful news. The detective also said the car was found in a hospital parking lot, and now is in auto pound. It could be collected anytime.
So i go to autopound and waited in a queue to see my car. It took 1.30 hrs to just go and see the car. Was i shocked?? Yes.. the ignition was cut using a cutting plyer and other than that nothing happened. I was asked to pay 120$ to release the car. The cops find my car, and i have to pay to get it back?? I couldnt understand the logic. Then why do i pay tax??
WHAT THE HECK?? Fine, atleast i have my car.
So i get my car, i could see the cutting plyer used to break in, is lying on the floor of the car.
- why didnt the detectives taken it for fingerprinting??
- Did they atleast saw my car for any evidence??
I dont think so. Since my car was found in good condition they closed the file.
So US cops are no better than any other country cops. Thats teh only conclusion i could arrive at.
